The island offers up lots of activities such as snorkeling, diving and boat trips. There are two main beaches: Pattaya Beach, which is where all of the local nightlife is and Sunset Beach, which is quiet and more out of the way.
Make sure to hike up to the Adang Viewpoint to get an unbelievable view of the island and also the surrounding Marine Park. It is also possible to camp here and tents are available from the National Park Office.
How to get to Koh Lipe
Koh Lipe can be reached by boat from either Thailand or Malaysia. During the high season from November to May the boats dock at Pattaya Beach. Longtail boats and motorbike taxis will be waiting to take you anywhere on the island. In low season tourists are dropped on Sunset Beach, where again transportation will be waiting.
If you are arriving from Malaysia, you will have to first clear customs. The Immigration Office is at the south end of Pattaya Beach, you will be guided here and quickly get stamped into the country.

Koh Lanta is accessible by either car or passenger ferry. High speed passenger ferries leave from Phuket, Krabi Town and Ao Nang and take roughly 75 minutes. The Passenger ferry costs approximately 450 Baht each way.
Take note that from November to April the passenger ferries do not operate. The only way to reach the island during low season is by the car ferry. You will have to book a minibus seat which costs around 400 Baht.
The car ferry leaves from Hua Hin Pier which is near Trang on route 4206. For one car with two people the cost is 120 Baht.
Koh Tao

Koh Tao has no airports, bus stations nor trains. The best way to get around the island is by the small pickup trucks which are constantly moving from town to town. Or by renting a motorbike.

The most famous thing to do on Koh Phangan is obviously the Full Moon Party, held once a month …. on the full moon. The part which is held on Haad Rin Beach, can draw 30,000 revelers every month. Anybody who has attended the party will tell you, 30,000 is to many people. Most of the fun is taken out of the party by trying not to stand on people’s feet. The Half Moon Party is a much better option and draws a lot less people.
Another great thing to do on Koh Phangan is to watch the sunset at the Amsterdam bar. Here it is also possible to buy weed and smoke a joint. There are cushions laid out on the floor and you will often see people sleeping off the effects of their joint. It is quite safe as staff and fellow travelers look out for each other.
Other great things to do include sea kayaking, snorkeling, diving, elephant tours, hiking, beach hopping and also kite-surfing. Koh Phangan is most definitely one of the best islands in Thailand.
How to get to Koh Phangan
The nearest airport to Koh Phangan is on the nearby island of Koh Samui. It has daily flights and is very easy to reach. From Koh Samui you can either take a speed boat or the local ferry.
